Juneberry/Serviceberry (Allegheny)

Amelanchier laevis. Also known as Smooth Serviceberry because of the hairless foliage. One of the taller species of serviceberries (over 25 ft) often with multiple trunks. Showy, fragrant white flowers that bloom before the leaves come out. Following the blooms are tasty dark red/purple berries that act like a bird magnet. Native to North America, hardy in zones 4-8.
