Balsam Fir


Abies balsamia, also known as blister pine or northern balsam. A native conifer that makes excellent holiday decorations such as wreathes. Cones are 2-4 inches long and seed crops are produced every 2-4 years. The seeds and buds are a great food source for native birds while deer love to browse on the low branches.

Grows up to 70 ft tall and about 20 ft wide (widest at the bottom, tapering towards the tip.)
