Cornus sericea. This shrub is great in wetter areas, along stream banks, etc. It grows vigorously, spreading out to form a colony that can help prevent soil erosion. One of our best natives for birds (they love to eat the blueish-white berries) and pollinators such as butterflies. The red stems contrast with snow in winter, highly ornamental. The white flowers are pretty and attract many types of pollinators. Mature height up to 8 feet.
