Cornus amomum. Hardy in zones 4-8, this shrub has small creamy white flower clusters in the spring and blue berries in the summer that are eaten quickly by birds such as robins, grosbeaks, and catbirds (but best to not eat them yourself). Native to central and eastern United States and parts of Canada. A great plant to grow by streams for erosion control. Average 6-10 feet tall.
