Cercis canadensis. Native to North America. Abundant pink flowers in the spring before it leafs out, as well as bright yellow fall foliage. Selected for hardiness from the University of Minnesota. 20-30' tall, but can be pruned to stay shorter and managed as smaller ornamental specimens. Zones 4-9.
