Beach Plum

Prunus maritima. Native to the north-east coast of the United States. Small round purple plums grow on a tall (up to 10 ft)  bush, some say the fruit of this tree makes the best jam there is! Loves sunny, sandy sites. Salt tolerant. Zones 4-8.
