Tamarack, aka Larch

Larix laricina. Our native deciduous conifer. The needles turn a gorgeous yellow color late in the fall season. Average hight is between 50-70 feet tall. Tamaracks need full sun and moist, acidic soil. They thrive is bogs and swamps.
